This fund is a total return, long-term portfolio that seeks to support endowment-style annual spending. DAFs may invest in JCEP subject to certain guidelines, including a minimum DAF balance of $500,000.
Frequently asked questions about CJP donor advised funds
Creating a DAF may have an immediate tax deduction the year you contribute, and your charitable funds can grow tax-free over time. There are also potential tax savings when giving appreciated assets.
Yes. CJP does not require you to recommend grants to CJP or other Jewish agencies. Grants can be made to public charities not in conflict with CJP’s core commitments.
You can see all your recent contributions to your Fund in the DAF online portal by logging into your account and looking under recent additions.
Please note that contributions are processed on Fridays and are usually reflected in your online portal the following Monday.
Please reference our asset transfer instructions before making a gift to ensure we are able to process it in a timely and accurate manner.
A CJP DAF is a great way to donate both cash and appreciated securities. We accept a variety of assets, including publicly traded securities, private company stock, partnership interests, restricted stock, real estate, cryptocurrency, life insurance policies, and fine art.
Note: All gifts of assets are subject to review by CJP prior to acceptance.
