A thriving Jewish community doesn’t happen by accident. It requires intentional investment, coordination, compassion, and collective action. When you invest in CJP, you make our Jewish federation stronger. You’re powering our ability to identify gaps, direct resources, and strengthen the network of organizations that make Jewish life in Greater Boston flourish.
CJP works across three focus areas: a strong, safe community; Jewish life and learning; and Israel connection and rebuilding. Our big-picture perspective lets us see emerging needs early. Our on-the-ground presence and dedication to data-driven decisions means we know what’s actually happening in people’s lives.
In crisis and in everyday moments of need, we make sure no one in the community faces challenges alone. We safeguard Jewish spaces, respond to threats, confront antisemitism, and ensure everyone has the essential support they need.
We’re a source for new and cherished ways for Jewish people in Greater Boston to grow, belong, and learn. We support all community members, whatever their life stage and however they express their Jewishness.
The bonds of Jewish peoplehood are unbreakable, and demand action, not just sentiment. Our support of Israel is rooted in forging connections: with Israeli innovators and with the new generations discovering what Israel means to them.

All statistics are based on internal data from Combined Jewish Philanthropies (CJP) and reflect the measurable impact of CJP programs and community initiatives.
Since 1965, CJP has surveyed the Greater Boston Jewish population every 10 years. This effort is unmatched: No other Jewish Federation has such a commitment to data gathering. With each survey, we learn more about the people in our community, their needs, and how they express Jewish culture, values, and faith.
The 2025 survey guides and grounds us as we work toward our vision. Data opens up new possibilities, empowering us to reimagine what Jewish life can be in Greater Boston.
